What you are buying

You describe a spreadsheet in your own words. We design the structure, every tab, column, formula, dropdown and total, and build it as a file you download and keep. It is yours to use, change, copy and share, with no restriction from us and nothing to renew.

The file arrives empty. It is the structure you asked for, ready for you to type into. It is not a service that holds your numbers and there is no account to log back into. If this website vanished tomorrow, the file on your computer would carry on working.

What it costs

One payment buys one spreadsheet: the one on the screen when you paid. Describing it, seeing the whole design, and asking for changes are all free and need no payment details, so you know exactly what you are getting before you decide.

If you change it after paying, that is a different spreadsheet and a separate payment. The button says so: it goes back to showing the price. We would rather that was plain on the screen than a surprise at the download.

The price is on the button before you go anywhere near a card, and Stripe shows it to you again before you confirm.

Getting it, and why there are no refunds

There are no refunds. This is a digital file and it downloads the moment you have paid, so there is nothing to give back and nothing to take back. Please treat the payment as final.

By paying you are asking for the file straight away, and accepting that once it has downloaded the usual fourteen day right to cancel an online purchase no longer applies. That is the law's own exception for digital content, and it is exactly why you get to see the whole design first rather than a description of one. Every tab, every column and every formula is on the screen, free, for as long as you want to look at it, and you can change it as many times as you like before you pay anything. Nobody here should ever be buying something they have not already seen.

The one thing we cannot sign away, and would not want to, is the law's position on a file that is actually broken. If what you downloaded will not open, or is not the spreadsheet you were shown, that is a fault and your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 still apply. Write to us and we will sort it out. Changing your mind, no longer needing it, or deciding the design was not what you wanted after all are not that, and are not refundable.

What we check before you are asked to pay

Every design is built into a real spreadsheet and opened by a real spreadsheet engine, and every formula in it is calculated, before you are shown anything. If a formula comes back broken, the design goes back to be fixed and checked again. A design that never passes is never offered, so you cannot be charged for one.

What we cannot promise is that the design is the right one for your situation. If you are relying on it for tax, accounts, medication, safety or anything else that matters, check the numbers yourself or have somebody qualified check them.

The service is offered as it is. We do not guarantee it is available at any particular moment, and nothing here creates liability for losses that follow from using a spreadsheet, beyond the price you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law.

What the file does when you open it

Cells that calculate something are locked and the cells you are meant to type in are not, so a formula is hard to overwrite by accident. There is no password on any of it, so you can unlock the sheet in your own spreadsheet program whenever you like. It is a handrail, not a cage.

Using it fairly

There are limits on how often one person can ask for a new spreadsheet, so an automated client gets refused before a person does. Please do not use the service to produce anything unlawful, and do not try to make it do something other than build a spreadsheet.
